Refugee Project on Lesvos with CVCL – UCLan

20.11.2019

In 2019, the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan)’s Centre for Volunteering and Community Leadership organised two visits to Lesvos. The students learned about the refugee situation and response to this crisis first hand, by cooperating with METAdrasi in the framework of our educational programme for unaccompanied minors. UCLan staff and student volunteers delivered an art project, involving 96 unaccompanied minors and a Leadership training/workshop, to which 150 unaccompanied minors were engaged.

We warmly thank UCLan’s team for the amazing work and the positive impact on our students, as well as for the excellent cooperation, looking forward to its continuation!

METAdrasi’s educational activities for refugee children on the islands are implemented with the support of UNHCR.
