The METAdrasi team at the Athens Half Marathon

10.03.2026

This year once again, our team proudly took part in the Athens Half Marathon and the 5K race, alongside 30,000 runners who filled the city centre with energy and excitement.

This year’s participation was especially meaningful for us, as we had the joy and honour of running together with the children of the “Together in Sport – Phase II” team. Unaccompanied refugee children and Greek children ran side by side, sharing the same route, the same effort, the same enthusiasm, and the joy of being part of the race.

Congratulations to everyone who took part!

“Together in Sport-Phase II”, which is implemented with METAdrasi as coordinator and in cooperation with the Hellenic Olympic Committee and with the support of the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB), aims at the participation of more than 10,000 children and young people up to 21 years old, in sports and cultural activities for the period 2023-2026. The project is co-funded by the German Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) and the AMIF.
