An unaccompanied child in the parade for the 28th of October in Chios

30.10.2025

Our hearts overflowed with joy as a determined 17-year-old boy from Syria, one of the unaccompanied children staying at METAdrasi’s Accommodation Centre in Chios, marched alongside his classmates in the parade for the 28th of October national celebration.

Standing among M.’s friends, supporters, and the cheering crowd, our team celebrated every step he took. His smile, full of confidence and belonging, reminded us how powerful inclusion and community truly are.
Moments like these show that every child deserves to feel part of something bigger — to feel seen, welcomed, and supported.

Since August 2023, METAdrasi’s Accommodation Facility for Unaccompanied Minors in Chios, operates with the support of the Migration and Home Affairs Funds (TAMEY), co-funded by the European Union.
