Exploring the world of unaccompanied children and ways to support them

02.03.2017

METAdrasi’s 4th Training Seminar for Candidate Members of the Guardianship Network for Unaccompanied Minors was completed successfully. Throughout its duration, from 16th to the 22nd of February, the 38 participants were trained on issues related to the personalized support of unaccompanied minors in Greece. They attended presentations, studied cases, took part in interactive learning activities and discussed the protection of unaccompanied minors and their rights, as well as meeting their needs in terms of their physical and mental health, education, asylum procedures, family reunification, their social inclusion etc. Together, they explored ways to communicate with the children, to make them feel secure and smile. Soon, the new members of METAdrasi’s Guardianship Network will begin their first steps next to unaccompanied children. We wish them success!
