Through images and words, refugees living at the Pournara reception centre and attending METAdrasi Cyprus classes expressed their dreams and the future they envision through a creative vision board.
“Hope,” “home,” “freedom,” and “independence” came together as pieces of a larger story — a journey shaped by memory, resilience, and the hope for a new beginning.
Hope and dreams give people the strength to set goals and build independence, while home and work can lead the way to freedom.
Each creation is a quiet yet powerful reminder that, beyond borders and languages, we all share the same desire: to belong, to dream, and to build a future with dignity.
METAdrasi Cyprus began providing Greek language courses at the Kofinou and Pournara centers in February 2024. Since July 2025, educational activities for adults and children at the Pournara First Reception Center have been implemented in collaboration with the Asylum Service.
