On Thursday 15th of February, METAdrasi was honoured with the “NGO of the year” award, during the ceremony for the “Hellenic Responsible Business Awards 2018”, which took place at the Hellenic Motor Museum.
According to the event’s organizer, Marketing Week magazine, by Boussias Communications, the candidates’ selection and evaluation criteria for this award were the proven innovative work, with a strong social impact, as well as the continuous commitment and efficiency, with measurable results.
On behalf of METAdrasi, the award was received by Mr. Marcos Komondouros, member of the BoD, who stated that “it is very touching for us to see our daily efforts all over Greece recognized” and stressed that, unfortunately, good will and soul are not sufficient, it is indispensable to have professionalism, organisation and proper staffing, in order to offer substantial social work.
METAdrasi is a Greek NGO, founded in 2010, that focuses on covering long-standing gaps in the reception and integration of refugees and migrants in Greece. METAdrasi specializes in the sector of interpretation and intercultural mediation, as well as in the protection of unaccompanied children, through a series of innovative activities.
