Refugee Stories Through Painting

15.06.2026

Metadrasi - EXIBITION FEATURED

On the occasion of World Refugee Day, residents of the Kofinou and Pournara centers — students of METAdrasi Cyprus — expressed themselves through painting, creating works that capture their thoughts, experiences, memories and dreams.

From images of Cyprus, homes, doves and sea journeys to more personal and symbolic creations, each artwork tells a unique story. Together, these paintings form a vibrant mosaic of hope, resilience and human expression.

The exhibition invites us to look beyond the images: to listen to the voices, memories and aspirations of the people who created them.
