Metadrasi - METAdrasi VoT seminar

One more online training seminar in the framework of the activity “Hope and Memory: Identification & Certification of Victims of Torture» was successfully completed.

The training entitled “Recognition and Management of Torture Survivors Cases” was actively attended by 70 staff members of the Greek Asylum Service who come into daily contact with vulnerable groups of the population.

METAdrasi’s interdisciplinary team presented in an interactive and direct way issues related to the legal framework of protection under both international and national law, the mental health of torture victims, their clinical picture as well as the procedures of taking a social history.

At the end of the training, a discussion followed with METAdrasi’s team answering successive questions, and setting the basis for further exploration and reflection in the field under consideration.

We warmly thank the Department of Processes and Training of the Asylum Service for the excellent cooperation and the joint organization of the training.
