Metadrasi - METAdrasi Comic

What if disabilities could be turned into superpowers? With this imaginative idea, the students of METAdrasi’s Ηomework and Creative Activities Center in Thessaloniki created an original comic strip, starring characters with special powers, despite their physical disabilities.

In a spirit of empathy and understanding for the difficulties faced by children with disabilities, the young refugees discussed with their teachers about the rights of their peers and the strength they gain to overcome obstacles in their everyday lives.

The children, in their own, unique way, envisioned superheroes with unique strengths and abilities that triumph over small daily battles.

Since September 2021, METAdrasi’s Ηomework and Creative Activities Center in Thessaloniki is part of the programme “All Children in Education”, a UNICEF Greece initiative in collaboration with the Ministry of Migration and Asylum, co-funded by the European Union and implemented in collaboration with a number of partners, including METAdrasi.
