“16 Days of Activism” for 10 women from Sudan living at the Ritsona Facility

Metadrasi - METAdrasi Ritsona 1

This December, at the Ritsona Facility for Temporary Accommodation, we marked the “16 Days of Activism” against gender-based violence with a group that filled us with strength and optimism.

Together with 10 women from Sudan living at the Facility, METAdrasi’s job counselor created an empowerment and inclusion group: the women enrolled in the Organisation’s Stepping Stone programme for employment counseling and connection to the labor market.

✅ They attended a preparation seminar for entering the job market.
✅ They took part in an educational visit to the Papoutsanis factory, in the production department, for real-time experience in a workplace environment.

And because empowerment also takes heart, not only knowledge… 🎶 we sang together an excerpt from the song “Ah Thalassa” by Marina Satti in Greek — a small moment of connection, joy, and intercultural communication.

🎁 We wrapped up with smiles and gifts for the women, with the kind support of the Germanos Group.
🙏🏼 Many thanks to everyone who participated in and supported the activities for the “16 Days of Activism”!

METAdrasi’s Stepping Stone programme in Ritsona is implemented with the support of UNHCR Greece.
