The “Home of METAdrasi” in Chios

30.05.2023

The “Home of METAdrasi” in Chios was filled with words and colours that touched our hearts. The unaccompanied children, through an activity, captured on cardboard what the accommodation facility means to them, as well as what they have learned and gained through their stay in it.

“In this home I learned how to believe in life, love others and see the good in them”

“The people in this home are my family, like parents helping me grow”

“In this home I feel very happy and calm as I found a family to protect me”

These are just a few of the words that touched us and made us once again proud of our children.

Words that give us strength to continue our work so that our children feel that METAdrasi’s home is like the home they left behind; and our family, like their family!

METAdrasi’s Transit Accommodation Facilities in Chios and in Samos are funded since June 2020 by EEA Grants in the framework of the Asylum and Migration programme.
