✔️ How do we investigate the best interests of the child?

✔️ What do we need to know about key countries of origin and intercultural approaches?

✔️ How does the Dublin Regulation affect unaccompanied children?

✔️ What is this importance of the foster care scheme?

 

These are just some of the topics that were thoroughly explored during the 8th training session for Guardians of Unaccompanied Minors, organized by METAdrasi.

Thirty officers participated, both in person and online. Presentations were delivered by METAdrasi’s specialized team working on the protection of unaccompanied children, as well as representatives from the General Secretariat for Vulnerable Persons & Institutional Protection, the Asylum Service, the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family Affairs, and the National Dublin Unit.


Since November 1, 2023, the activity of Guardinship for Unaccompanied Minors in Greece, is being implemented with METAdrasi as the coordinating partner and Praksis as a partner, within the framework of the “National Guardianship System” with funding from the “Programme Greece – Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund 2021-2027”, co-financed by the European Union.
