On January the 14th and the 15th, we had the pleasure to host our partners from Italy (Save the Children), Belgium (European Social Network), Slovenia (Institute for Social Studies) and Spain (Sant Joan de Déu & Sant Joan de Déu-Terres de Lleida), in the framework of METAdrasi’s participation in the European project “N.E.A.R. to Guardians”.
After visiting the premises of our educational center in Kallithea, we shared good practices concerning the actions for the protection and integration of unaccompanied children and exchanged ideas regarding the effective training of the Guardianship Mandated Persons, as well as of the actors involved in respective actions.
At the same time, we had the opportunity to attend a very interesting sports event of Together in Sport- Phase II, where refugee children together with children of the local community gave another example of coexistence through the joint training of judo and acrobatics, under the guidance of distinguished Greek athletes.
We warmly thank the representatives of the “N.E.A.R. to Guardians” project for our joint effort in highlighting and shaping good practices towards the protection of unaccompanied children!

“Together in Sport-Phase II” promotes social cohesion and peaceful coexistence through sport and is implemented by METAdrasi (project coordinator), the Hellenic Olympic Committee, and the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB ).
