Nobel Prize awaits us

21.05.2021

Aiming to understand the basic principles of physics, the educators of the Transit Accommodation Facility for Unaccompanied Minors in Samos embarked with the children on an exciting journey of exploration into the magical world of science.

First, they created a volcano with simple materials; by adding “magic ingredients” that they had at home, they made the volcano erupt with red lava. Then they watched a balloon being inflated on its own and a lava lamp being created with water, sunflower oil, paint and a carbon tablet. And finally, they played and had fun with the huge soap bubbles they created by adding some sugar.

The process of exploration through experiments, the enthusiasm of the children, as well as their excitement, lead us to the conclusion that the Nobel Prize awaits many candidates from the accommodation facility of Samos!

METAdrasi’s Transit Accommodation Facility in Samos is funded since June 2020 by EEA Grants in the framework of the Asylum and Migration programme.
