Unaccompanied children from our shelter in Chios participate in the parade for the 25th of March

26.03.2025

From early yesterday morning, there was a flurry of activity at our Accommodation Center in Chios: Two of the unaccompanied children staying there, M., 15 years old, and A., 13 years old from Syria, were preparing to participate in the parade for the national celebration of the 25th of March.

After putting on the appropriate clothing, they set off to find their classmates. Together with the other children, full of pride and with the Greek flag in front of them as their “guide”, they paraded and received the warm applause of their friends and all the spectators.

Participating in the parade and showing in this way their love for the country in which they continue their new lives, M. and A. filled our whole team with pride and emotion.

Since August 2023, METAdrasi’s Accommodation Facility for Unaccompanied Minors in Chios operates with the support of the Migration and Home Affairs Funds (TAMEY), co-funded by the European Union.
