For the past 15 years, METAdrasi has been addressing interpretation needs in hospitals and healthcare institutions throughout Greece through specially trained and certified interpreters and intercultural mediators.
Building on this experience, METAdrasi has been providing intercultural mediation services in healthcare facilities across the Region of Attica since June 2026, as part of a three-year project entitled “Provision of Intercultural Mediation Services in Healthcare Services in the Region of Attica”. The project is implemented under the “Attica” Programme 2021–2027 and co-funded by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+).
The project aims to remove language and cultural barriers and facilitate communication between doctors, nursing staff and administrative personnel and migrants, refugees and asylum seekers. In doing so, it helps ensure equitable access to healthcare services and improve the quality of care provided.

• “Alexandra” General Hospital, Athens
• “Attikon” University General Hospital
• “Laiko” General Hospital
• The Polyclinic of “Evangelismos” General Hospital, Athens
• Agia Sofia Health Centre
